Video Response to Learning to Change, Change to Learn
The video highlighted the ever increasing need for technology implementation in classrooms and school settings. Education institutions, for the most part, are very much stuck in relatively ancient ways of thinking and teaching when it comes to 21st century skills. One of the speakers referred to school classrooms and learning environments 'as students and teachers living inside four brick walls'. I tend to agree with her, that schools are far behind the technical advances that we have. Students are spending more and more time on social networking sites, on the computer and cell phones, yet schools do not make the most of this huge community opportunity. Now is the time to start using the technology we have to create more learning methods, 24-hour access to teaching tools and make our students ALL active, engaged learners. On a final note, education behind coal-mining in IT intensiveness? That is scary, it's certainly time to change.

I agree with you. We must remember, if we are using technology, we need to teach balance. Here's a cute video
